Background: I am a citizen of South Korea, and a permanent resident in US. I have properties in Korea, needs to sell, which will require me to stay in Korea more than a year. So I am filing a documentation to US homeland security so I can stay in korea for more than a year(US law requires that permanent residents cannot be outside of US more than 6month, if you want to stay longer, you need a documentation).
Question: If I sell my properties in South Korea, how's tax work in US? I will be paying property or sales tax in Korea fully. Do I need to pay additional tax in US?

Is your property in Korea primary residence or rental property? It seems that you have a FBAR reporting duty. If you give me a call, I will be able to further explain to you. 925-258-1000
