“텍스파일을 할려고 하는데 Sole Proprietor로 되어 있어요 “--->Then, you are NOT a disregarded entity, SMLLC, I mean, so as a sole proprietor, you need to file Sch C of 104 AS LONG AS the amount on line 29/31 is $400 or exceeds $400 and also you need to pay self employment tax as long as the amoun t on Sch SE line 4 is ALSO $400 or exceeds $400; as you can see, SECA TAX,self-employment tax ,is a tax consisting of Social Security and Medicare taxes primarily for individuals who work for themselves. It is similar to the Social Security and Medicare taxes withheld from the pay of most wage earners; ALSO, as you are filing as a sole proprietor and/or a self-employed individual, you should use Form 1040-ES, Estimated Tax for Individuals , to figure and pay your estimated tax. For additional information on filing for a sole proprietor, partners, and/or S corporation shareholder, refer to Publication 505, Tax Withholding and Estimated Tax.HOWEVER, you do not have to pay estimated tax for the current year if you had no tax liability for the prior year; you were a U.S. citizen or resident for the whole year ;your prior tax year covered a 12 month period,OK. The US income tax is a pay-as-you-go tax, which means that tax must be paid as you earn or receive your income during the year. You can either do this through withholding or by making estimated tax payments. If you do not pay your tax through withholding, or do not pay enough tax that way, you might also have to pay estimated taxes on your form 1040ES. If you did not pay enough tax throughout the year, either through withholding or by making estimated tax payments, you may have to pay a penalty for underpayment of estimated tax. Generally, most taxpayers will avoid this penalty if they owe less than $1,000 in tax after subtracting their withholdings and credits, or if they paid at least 90% of the tax for the current year, or 100% of the tax shown on the return for the prior year, whichever is smaller. There are special rules for farmers and fishermen. Please refer to Publication 505, Tax Withholding and Estimated Tax, for additional information.
